Weaponised speed: 12 months of Xero

One of the qualities of Xero that make us so unique is that fact that in just 10 years we have grown from a company of less than 5 to now having over 1,400 employees, however we are still moving at that crazy startup pace. Things happen fast here at Xero and we still have a lot of fun.
Take a look at some of our top line releases over the past year.
Establishing an agile, global team that’s always shipping is a key part of the Xero philosophy. This team is able to take an idea, develop it, ship it and iterate on it extremely quickly – something you rarely see in companies our size with such a large product.
Announced at Xerocon South today, two-step authentication support for iOS is here. Two-step authentication (2SA) adds an extra layer of security to your Xero account, protecting you against the increasing cyber attacks such as account phishing.
If you have 2SA enabled on your Xero account and login to Xero for iOS, you will be prompted to enter your six-digit authentication code generated by the authentication app. Once you’ve passed the 2SA challenge, setting up either a security code or fingerprint will add another layer of security to the app and you won’t need to re-enter 2SA authentication codes to login.
If you decide to only use your Xero username and password to login, you will be prompted with the 2SA challenge each time you login. The same goes for when you have completely logged out and for new installs of Xero for iOS.
With our move to AWS, and the opportunities of having access to the boundless computing power which that platform opens up for us, the pace of innovation will again step up a gear.
We owe it to our small business customers, accountants and bookkeepers to continuously be improving our product. If the business owner has a great experience then their customers will too. And a rapidly moving economy is good for everyone.
