Late last year during our Auckland Xerocon we announced Watercare as the latest big business to link seamlessly with Xero through Xero Enterprise Connect. Well, I’m happy to announced that we’re live from today!
Watercare customers can now get a copy of their invoice data transferred directly to Xero. This will save time for thousands of small business who are still manually entering transactions. From now on, a Watercare bill, and all its details, will automatically show up in Xero.
Having a Government agency like Watercare work with us shows the growth of our global financial platform. We’re executing our vision to connect more New Zealand industries with the small businesses they service through our platform.
We know that cash flow is the most important thing for a small business owner. This latest innovation reduces time-consuming manual entry and enables small businesses to get a complete view of their cash flow position more quickly.
More about Watercare
Each day, Watercare supplies 326 million litres of water to Auckland, treating it and delivering it to homes and businesses in the region via a vast network of pipes. Watercare works to ensure the Auckland of tomorrow and its people enjoy dependable services by planning, constructing, and delivering new water and wastewater infrastructure in a cost-efficient manner.
We’re extremely excited to be working with this major New Zealand name. There is so much potential for big corporations to work with small businesses to deliver benefits for both of them. This partnership is just another example of homegrown Kiwi innovation that, once proven locally, I’m confident will be taken up globally. Watercare now joins the ranks of companies like Z Energy, BizRewards (Warehouse Stationery), NZI, PlaceMakers, and Meridian working alongside Xero to make things easier for small businesses.
Small businesses are getting used to the automation of banking and I expect that over the next few years, anything that can be automated, will be automated.
