Contacts are an integral part of small business. We need to know who our key contacts are, who owes us money, their payment history, and how much we spend with a particular supplier.
Today we’ve released some new reports to help small businesses better understand their customers and suppliers, grow their revenue and get paid faster.
Four new contact transaction reports
- Contact Transactions – Summary
- Contact Transactions – Cash
- Contact Transactions – Receivables
- Contact Transactions – Payables
What you see in these new reports is up to you. Simply tick the details you want to show, drag-and-drop to reorder the columns and then save the report as custom for everyday use.
See a detailed Statement of Account
The Contact Transactions Receivables report combines all of a contact’s cash and invoice transactions together on one page. You can create a report that’s essentially a detailed Statement of Account showing a customer’s opening and closing balance, as well as a running balance that includes outstanding invoices, credit notes and even split payments.
View all contact transactions on one page
With the new Contact Transactions Summary report, you can view all invoices, payments and cash receipts on one page. Using the filters, you can choose to summarise the lot or view them separately.
How to access the reports
All of the Contact Transactions Reports are accessed via the Contact Transactions Summary in the Report Center. To quickly navigate to this report, simply search ‘Contact’ in the search box in the top right.
Click through into ‘Contact Transactions – Summary’ report and you will find the summary detail for each of the reports. From there you can click on the individual reports as required.
Tip: To access these reports quickly for future use, save them as a custom report to find them quickly under the Custom tab in the Report Center.
