Replicate items from the last bill or invoice for a contact
Beautiful software is more than making something look beautiful. It’s about creating smarter experiences where technology remembers your preferences and behavior so you spend less time on data input.
With our latest release, Xero now remembers the last invoice or bill you created for a contact and gives you the option of copying the line items when creating a new one.
We know it’s common for users to replicate line items from past invoices and bills so we’re hoping this release speeds up your data entry and reduces the potential for errors – particularly when only minor adjustments need to be made and repeating invoices are not an option.
If you’re invoicing a new customer for the first time and their order is similar to an existing customer, this feature could be used like an ‘invoice template’ retrieving what was billed for one customer then swapping it out to the new customer.
We’ve been progressively rolling this feature out to our users to monitor and tweak our approach, with the rollout to everyone competing this week.
