Google announced today that Xero is a top recommended app for its business customers.
As the financial platform for small businesses, our core focus is enabling businesses to better manage their cash flow to grow and thrive. Xero is designed to be the accounting engine for small business, giving real-time access to financial data and access to advisors for quicker, easier collaboration.
As part of Google’s Recommend for G Suite program, Xero is now a recommended app for Google’s G Suite, a set of intelligent apps—Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Hangouts, and more—designed with real-time collaboration and machine intelligence to bring people together and help boost productivity.
Google selected Xero for the program for it’s ease of use as an online accounting platform, simplifying bank reconciliations, inventory, billing, invoicing, payroll and the ability to integrate with over 500 business apps. Inclusion in the program included a rigorous qualification process based on Xero’s quality of integration and alignment with G Suite, as well as 3rd-party security testing.
Small businesses are rapidly adopting business applications in the cloud so they can shift their focus to growing their business. With a deeper integration to G Suite – which includes Gmail – small businesses can view and send emails to contacts without leaving Xero, export content to Google Docs and Google Sheets, use Google Hangouts to collaborate with advisors, and build smart lists for sales and marketing campaigns. All of this can be done anytime, anywhere, on any device.
Being included in the Recommended for G Suite program is a strong hat-tip for us here at Xero, especially as our more than 862,000 customers around the world increasingly seek solutions that work together with the tools they use every day.
“Most of our clients are not moving to the cloud, they were already born on the cloud. They expect their business tools to be available at all times, on any device, and to work together seamlessly. This is why Acuity has been so excited to introduce our clients to the Xero and G Suite integration. Business owners get access to their data quicker through their Google account and can communicate inside of their Xero account via Gmail. It’s a brilliant partnership that will provide immense value to small business.” –

Earlier this year we launched the Xero App Marketplace which now has more than 500 apps, all integrating with Xero to improve the workflows of small business owners and their advisors. Smart integrations with workplace apps can equal significant productivity gains.
Xero’s strong relationship with Google was demonstrated earlier this year when we were included in the New & Notable section of the G Suite Marketplace. Making it even easier for businesses to keep on top of their customer relationships by integrating Xero with G Suite, we’re able to take email out of the inbox and into the accounting workflow, giving small businesses even more information about their relationships with their contacts without leaving Xero.
